Managing ADHD: What I Take & What Works for Me
ADHD can be frustrating—one moment, you’re laser-focused, and the next, you’re bouncing from thought to thought, forgetting what you were even doing. Over the years, I’ve found a few things that help me stay focused, calm, and structured, and I want to share them with you.
Supplements That Help
I keep it simple, but the right supplements make a huge difference for me:
Ashwagandha – This is my go-to for keeping me calm and focused. It’s not just hype—you can actually feel the difference. It’s clutch for ADHD but also for anxiety, which is a game-changer if your brain tends to race.
Lion’s Mane – If you want something that helps with memory, focus, and mental clarity, this is it. Keeps my brain sharp and helps me stay on track without feeling wired.
Structure & Daily Habits
Supplements help, but structure is just as important. Here’s what I do to keep my ADHD in check:
Saying No to Spontaneity – I gotta remind myself that just because I want to do something impulsively doesn’t mean I should. Discipline over vibes—most of the time.
Essential Oil Diffuser – I keep my space smelling right with essential oils that help with focus and relaxation. The vibes matter.
Sticky Notes Everywhere – My memory? Questionable at best. I leave clear sticky notes all over my space to keep me from forgetting the important stuff.
Notes App for Every Thought – The second I have an idea or something I need to remember, it goes straight in my phone. I even got a sticky note reminding me to check my notes (because, let’s be real, I’d forget otherwise).
Keeping My Space Clean – A cluttered room equals a cluttered mind. The more organized my space is, the better I function. Simple.
Final Thoughts
Managing ADHD isn’t about trying to “fix” it—it’s about finding ways to work with it. Some days are smooth, some days are all over the place, but having a routine, the right supplements, and a system that works for me makes a world of difference. If you struggle with ADHD too, just know that small changes stack up in a big way.
